ACADEMIC VISION

The Department of Horticulture at RVS is dedicated to providing the highest-quality education and is one of the leading horticulture programs in the country. We are proud to maintain a tradition of excellence spanning more than 40 years. The students enjoy wide array of expert individuals and groups who farm, landscape, garden, research, advise and enjoy the bounty of horticultural plants for their understanding of the branches of horticulture includes cultivation of fruits, vegetables, spices and plantation crops, flowers, ornamental crops, medicinal & aromatic crops.

The College grants Honors Graduate program affiliated to Tamilnadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.The Graduate Program involves training and experience in research, teaching, and professional communications with peers, industry and the public.

Students have access to research facilities, including laboratories, crop cafeteria, greenhouses, growth chambers, and both on- and off-campus field research stations. Graduate students also receive expertise of about 30 faculty members in the Horticulture Departments, as well as the advisory expertise of many faculties from across campus in basic plant biology, pathology, entomology, forestry, agronomy, genetics, biochemistry, marketing, food science, health and nutrition etc.
