Hostel Facilities

RVSKCAS hostel for boys and girls is good, secured and provides comfortable living called _______, it is situated in the University campus. Hostel allotment is on first-come-first-serve basis.

The ground floor of the hostel building has the Warden’s Office, security desk and a canteen with a common dining facility. The first floor is dedicated to living for ___ girls and ___ boys with separate entrances. The rooms are large, well-ventilated, with attached toilet/bathroom, furnished with a comfortable beds, reading desks and storage facilities. They accommodate four students to a room. The rooms are cleaned regularly and there is an ample parking space for two-wheelers. The public areas in the hostel are CCTV monitored and there is 24×7 security at the entrance. Students are required to record every time they leave and return in a log book; on weekdays they need to return latest by 8pm and on Saturdays and Sundays by 10pm.

For leisure and recreation, there are separate televisions in lobby for boys and for girls. Students can choose to eat in the canteen. During working days, students eat lunch and dinner in the hostel mess. The Mess remains closed during the college vacation period. Hostel fee includes lodging charges only. There are separate charges for electricity (on actuals) and food.

Hostel Rules

HOSTEL ADMINISTRATION

The following officers/staff constitute the Hostel administration:

  • Chief Warden
  • Deputy Warden
  • Residential Tutor
  • Enquiry committee for students

1.The Warden is the senior faculty of the Institute who looks after the day-to-day functioning of the hostel.

2.Deputy Warden will assist the Warden on day-to-day hostel management activities.

3.The Resident Tutor is in-charge for the hostel block/wing has to authorize all student requests.

4.Each hostel is supervised and managed by the Resident Tutor who will be available in the hostel, full-time. He will be assisted by the Mess representatives.

5.Each mess is administered by the Mess Manager along with the Mess representatives.

6.The students can approach any of the above officers for help, guidance and grievance redressal.
