The establishment of RVS Horticulture College was the fulfillment of a long cherished dream of providing facilities for higher education to the agrarian rural people of the Dindigul district and surrounding regions. The main objective is to develop a college with a distinct identity and character, where scientific education and hands on training are imparted at global standards. Every facility is provided in the campus to create an environment fully conducive to realizing this objective.
The RVS Horticulture College was established in the year 2013 with farm of 160 acres by the RVS Educational trust with eight departments namely Horticulture, Crop Protection, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Seed Science and Technology, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Microbiology and Biotechnology, Physical Education and Yoga. Now the college is having 8 UG programs with student strength of around 800.
